Akinjagunla area of Ondo town, was on Sunday thrown into confusion following the death of a middle-aged man who was said to have slumped and died after allegedly involved in a sex romp with a woman friend in a popular hotel located in the street.
It was gathered that the deceased said to be a civil servant had slumped and became unconscious in one of the hotel room where he had visited with his female partner.
Though, the identity of the woman had yet to be ascertained as of the time of filing this report, but sources said that the woman is a food vendor in the community.
A sources said, ” What I can say is that the man became unconscious in the hotel room after having sex with the woman said to be his woman friend laced with thunderbolt popularly called (Magun) in local parlance.
” The woman raised the alarm after realizing that the man collapsed, the manager of the hotel and some residents rushed to the scene and made frantic efforts if they could rescue the man, he was later rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead by the doctors”
The management of the hotel later reported the matter to the Yaba Divisional Police Station in the community, who later stormed the hotel and joined in the rescue mission by rushing the victim to the hospital where he was later confirmed dead by the doctors.
When our reporter visited the street, residents were seen standing in groups discussing the development, while some were seen sitting down in the front of their houses.
Similarly, officials of the anti-crime section attached to the Yaba divisional police station were seen rushing the deceased out of the street to the hospital.
When contacted, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Yaba division of Nigeria police, Mr Moses Adeduro was said to have gone out for an official engagement in the town.
Meanwhile, a senior police officer in the station who may not want his name mentioned confirmed the receipt of the incident, said the woman friend of the deceased including the Manager of the hotel have been invited for interrogations.
He disclosed full investigation on the matter. had commenced on the circumstances leading to the death of the man, however added that the woman has been arrested by the police.
