The leadership of the Student Union Government (SUG) Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, has concluded plans to present an award of Outstanding Leadership to the Akamuja of Igburowo, Oba Nelson Akingbadega Akintolayo.
According to the students body, the award entitled: “Outstanding Leadership, Commitment to Peace, Cultural Heritage” will be presented to the monarch in his palace at Igburowo town, Odogbo local government area of Ondo State wil be hold on 2nd of August 2025.
The Ile-Oluji Polytechnic SUG body explained that the award to be bestowed on the traditional ruler is also in recognitions of his immense contributions and supports for the youths and education within and outside his community.
The students explained that the award is also part of the activities of the SUG to further strengthen the relationship between the traditional institutions and the academic communities.
The event slated to begin at about 10:am on Saturday at the palace of the monarch, will featured activities like cultural dance, paying of royal homage, presentations of citation of the monarch among other activities.
