Narcotics, Sunday Aina Rufus, has resumed duties as the new Commander of the National Drug Law and Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Ekiti State Command.
Announcing the development, Ifeoluwa Fabiyi, Staff Officer, Media and Advocacy,
Ekiti State Command of the NDLEA, said the new Commander shortly after resuming at the command headquarters Ado-Ekiti, charged officers to be diligent and dedicated to their duties.
While addressing officers and Men of the Command at the maiden meeting of his administration, the Commander tasked officers not to relent in their commitment and diligence to their duties and responsibilities as they continue to build on past successes recorded at the Command. He further stated that his administration would have zero tolerance to laziness and indiscipline.
Similarly, he also warned Drug Dealers and Drug Peddlers operating in the State to stop their illegal business and embrace legitimate businesses, because he would be hard on them, and anyone caught would face the full wrath of the law.
His word,: “We wish to inform the good people of the land of honour, Ekiti State and the general public that Commander of Narcotics, AINA SUNDAY RUFUS has assumed office as the new State Commander, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Ekiti State Command.
The new Ekiti NDLEA helmsman joined the Agency as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Narcotics II (ASN II), in 1995 and trained at the Prestigious NDLEA Academy in Jos, Plateau State. He is a member of the unique set called the C5 Officers.
He has served in several operational, administrative, and intelligence capacities of NDLEA at different Commands and formations, across the length and breadth of Nigeria. He was one time Assistant State Commander, Operation and Training, Gombe State Command. He was also at one time, the Deputy Zonal Commander, Assets and Financial Investigation, Zone J Akure, Ondo State.
Prior to his appointment as the new State Commander, NDLEA Ekiti State Command, Commander Aina was the Assistant Director Special duties and Strike Force at the Agency National Headquarter, Abuja.
The new State Commander holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the Prestigious Ahmadu Bello University ABU, Zaria, Kaduna State and Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the Prestigious University of Ilorin, Ilorin Kwara State.
