The Coalition of Irele Progressive Youth Movement (CIPYM)  has renewed its call to the Governor of Ondo State, Dr Lucky Aiyedatiwa and the kingmakers in the town to expedite actions without further delay on the installation of a substantive monarch on the 9-year-old Olofun of Irele stool.
The youths body who are from various quarters in the town, in a communiqué issued at the end of its  monthly congress, expressed concern over the prolonged leadership vacuum in the town.
The communique signed by the Coordinator, Comrade Michael Akinboyo, described the delay in filling the Olofun stool as a threat to the peace, unity, and cultural heritage of the community.
Lamenting over the situation, the youth urged the Ondo State Government  to expedite the approval process to ensure the swift installation of a monarch.
According to the statement:  “We do not intend to take the law into our own hands, however, if nothing is done, we may be compelled to embark on a peaceful protests to press home our demand.”
The coalition concluded by calling on Governor Aiyedatiwa to give urgent attention to the matter, stressing that a resolution would restore dignity, stability, and progress to Irele kingdom.
