Worried by the gale of unemployed among Nigeria youths, a religious leader, Prophet Sam Olu-Alo, has stressed the needs for the youths to embrace agriculture , saying the move is the only way to tackle the menace.
The cleric who also expressed worried over what he called large numbers of Nigeria youths who were unemployed, saying the move has not only increase crime rate in the country, but posed more danger and threat to the development of the country.
The religious leader spoke recently in Ido-Ekiti, headquarters of Ido/Osin local government area of Ekit State, recently during the commissioning of a private Radio Station the “Adamimogo” 107.7FM at Ido-Ekiti.
He equally admonished youths embrace agriculture, saying it is only through this the menace of unemployment among them could be tackled.
Expressing his strong determination to ensure that a good number of unemployed Nigerian youths are brought into farming, as he has resolved to engage in Oil Palm, Piggery, Rice, Cassava and Maize Farming, apparently to compliment the government in providing job for the youths of the country.
The Cleric who expressed his readiness to embark on a-300 hectares multi-million naira agricultural project that would be sited in three communities in Ekiti State with a view to further making his own contribution towards reducing the upsurge of youths unemployment in Nigeria.
According to him, “Nigerian Youths are suffering, government at all levels has a role to play in this regard but they can’t solve all their problems and the individuals also have a role to play by gearing more concerted efforts at making them employable.”
He however gave an assurance that “everything God gives him in life” would be deployed towards uplifting the youths in the society, the clergyman, lamented that many wealthy Nigerians have failed the country due to what he described as their “selfish attitude”
Buttressing his grave concerns for the pathetic situation that Nigerian youths are passing through at the moment, the man of God said he observed that the alarming increase in kidnapping and other crimes and criminality praying that “God should open the eyes of the rich Nigerians” to enable them know the right things to do for their people.
The religious leader however urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to buckle up and address the myriads of socio-economic problems bedevilling the country and admonished him to bring on board those who are genuinely committed to making his vision realizable.
