The apex youths group in Ondo kingdom, Ondo Ekimogun Youth Congress (OEYC) has concluded plans to conduct a fresh election into offices in the organization.
The election is coming on the heel of the expiration of the tenure of Comrade Kayode Folajogun-led executive after the completion of the two years term.
According to a statement signed by the Electoral Chairman, Comrade Ibukun Oluwasola, said the exercise slated to hold on 8th, March 2025 at the expansive Oba Adesanoye Civic Centre, Ondo town will ursher in new executive officers of the youth group into new offices for another two years.
The electoral Chairman who promised free, fear and credible exercise that will devoid riot, crisis and acrimony.
Ibukun equally promised to provide what he called a level playing ground for all the candidates that will be contesting for various positions during the exercise.
He solicited the supports of the contestants and other relevant stakeholders, noted that the move would further ensure the success of the exercise.
Similarly, in a congratulatory message signed by the former Financial Secretary OEYC, Comrade Kayode Olamigoke, congratulates Comrade Ibukun on his emergence as the Chairman OEYC electoral committee Chairman.
He expressed optimism in the competency of the electoral committee Chairman and promised his readiness to work with him in ensuring the success of the exercise.
According to him, “My best wishes to the electoral umpire ant the candidates for your success as you all prepare to take up the responsibilities and challenges of your high offices.
“”As you embark upon your new responsibilities to conduct free, fair and credible election within the stipulated days and produce new sets of executive for the youths body in Ondo Kingdom for another two years,
“I wish to assure you and other members of the congress of the continued friendship and sympathetic interest of the young people in Ondo Kingdom.
“I equally look forward to work with you not only to develop closer relations between us but also to concert our efforts in the cause of peace, unity and the brotherhood of all the youths and young people in both Ondo West and East Federal Constituency”
