The Chairman, National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Ekiti State Council, Ambassador Joseph Falope, has boasted that as a driver he is greater than a University don in his chosen carrier.
The Ekiti NURTW boss popularly called “Oloforo” said he has achieved several success and breakthrough as a driver which a University Professor could not achieve even as a lecturer in Ivory Tower.
Falope spoke on Sunday in Aramoko-Ekiti, his home town, during a harvest and thanksgiving service held at Saint Anne’s Catholic Church, Aramoko-Ekiti Ekiti State.
While thanking God Almighty for his success in his carrier, Ambassador Falope said within the shortest time, he assumed office as the helmsman of the Ekiti NURTW, he has been able to identify with several personalities within and outside Ekiti State.
Falope who thanked the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Abayomi for his chosen him to lead the Ekiti NURTW at this present time, he reiterated the continuous supports of the union to his government beyond 2027
The event which was also attended by the National President, NURTW, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya popularly called “MC Oluomo” and other national executive members of the union as well as the Chairmen Lagos and Ogun States councils of the union.
In his remarks at the event, the National President of the NURTW President , thanked the Ekiti NURTW for his support for the union, said he was at the ceremony as a mark of respect he has for the Ekiti council of the NURTW.
While announcing his donation towards the development of the church, promised that he will always identify with the church and the NURTW Ekiti State council.
Earlier in a sermon delivered during the church service, the Priest in charge of the church, Revd Fr Arinola Abegunde, described Christmas as period of extending hands of fellowship to neighbourhood.
The event attend by members and branch Chairmen of the union as well as family of the state chairman among others.
