The Honourable Abiola Makinde (HAM) volunteer group has congratulated the Governor-elect, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and his Deputy Dr Olayide Adelami over their victory on Saturday gubernatorial election in Ondo State.
Governor Aiyedatiwa, who was the flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the November 16, 2024 Ondo governorship election, was declared winner by the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) shortly after the conclusion of the collation results on Sunday.
Speaking on behalf of the group, the Chairman who also double as the Coordinator of the group, Mr Adeniyi Adeyosoye, (LA I) described the victory as not only for members of the All Progressive Congress, but for the entire residents of Ondo State.
The group while congratulating the Director General Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organisation, Honourable Abiola Makinde and other members of the campaign committee over the victory, however called on the people of Ondo State not to relentless in their supports for the Governor.
The HAM volunteer group also appreciate all members of the group over what it called their supports for the group and the success of the Governor, explained that the victory will endear the Governor to do more.
Describing the electoral triumph of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa as an endorsement of good governance under the APC administration in Ondo State as well as a vote of confidence in the leadership of the President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The HAM volunteer group also expressed gratitude to the electorate in Ondo State for keeping their trust in the ruling party, the APC, based on verifiable indices of good governance since the party came to power in the neighbouring state in 2016.
The group pointed out that the victory recorded by Governor Aiyedatiwa and the APC has put a fresh challenge on the Governor to do more for the people of the state who defied the odds to give him a fresh mandate.
The HAM volunteer group equally hailed the people of Ondo State for conducting themselves in peaceful and orderly manner which resulted in the overall success of the governorship poll across the length and breadth of the state.
The group promised to continue in supporting the Governor the and ensure his good work in making Ondo State a censure of all eyes and ensure stability in Ondo State.
