Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Cavista Holdings Limited, Mr John Olajide, has donated set of laptop computers to members of the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Ekiti State Council.
Presenting the laptop to members of NUJ Correspondent’s Chapel made up representatives of all the National Newspapers in the country, the Deputy Executive Director in charge of Community Engagement, in the organization, Alhaji Dauda Lawal, said the gesture is part of the move by the organisation to complement the efforts of the Ekiti State Government in enhancing the performance of tje Journalists operating in Ekiti State.

Olajide also explained that the presentation was also in line with the fulfilment of his support to the chapel to enhance their quest for digital journalism which formed major discussions during the September 26th,2024 annual day celebration of the chapel.
Olajide said the gesture is part of the organization’s commitment to support the noble media profession in line with the policy of Governor Biodun Oyebanji administration in the state.
He reiterated the determination of the Cavista Holding Company to remain committed to the growth and development of Ekiti State through his investments in the agriculture and hospitality sectors.
The CEO however assured the NUJ chapel that the laptop computers have been configured to work perfectly in advancing their journalism responsibilities towards the betterment of the society, urging them to make judicious use of the computers aimed at enhancing their profession.
SImilarly, in his remarks during presentation, the Ekiti State Commissioner for Information, Chief Taiwo Olatunbosun, commended the Chairman of Cavista Holdings Limited for the gesture, describing him as an icon and business Manager who has made positive impacts in the business and technology world.
The Commissioner who expressed his delight in the gesture, noted that the Ekiti State Government would continue to collaborate with the Cavista Holding in the area of adding great values to the state’s economy.
Olatubosun explained that the administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji will remain resolute and undeterred in providing the enabling environment for investment opportunities to thrive in the state.
He called on other private organizations and investors to emulate Cavista Holdings Limited in investing in the state, assuring them of government support all the time.
Olatunbosun lauded members of the NUJ Chapel for their support to the Oyebanji-led administration in the last two years, promising that media practitioners would not be gagged nor intimidated in the course of carrying out their constitutional responsibilities.
Responding on behalf of beneficiaries, the Vice Chairman of the Chapel, Mr Gbenga Sodeinde who received the items on behalf of his members, appreciated the Chairman of Cavista Holdings Limited for the gesture, assuring him that the laptops would be effectively deployed to bolster their journalism works.
He further reiterated the readiness of his members to continue to support the organization in achieving the aims and objective it was established in Ekiti State, promised the effective and judicious use of the laptop computer.
The brief ceremony held at the office of the Correspondent’s Chapel, Old Governor’s Office Ado-Ekiti, was attended by officials of the Cavista Holding Limited other government officials as well members of the Correspondent’s Chapel Ekiti NU J among others.
