The candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) for the November 16 governorship election in Ondo State, Mr Ayodeji Emmanuel Akinnodi, on Thursday received massive blessings from the Council of Oloja’s in Ondo East/West Federal Constituency area of Ondo State.
Addressing the mammoth crowd who trooped out enemas to welcome him during the visit, Akinnodi, promised to provide good governance and raise the status of the traditional rulers if elected.
Akinnodi, a frontline Philanthropist and Estate Manager, said the aimed of the visit is to solicit for their votes and supports during the forthcoming election, promised to run a participatory government that would enable residents of Ondo State relate directly with his administration.
According to him “good governance is the primary driver of human security and social progress, I promise to run a participatory government that will enable residents of Ondo State to relate directly with my administration. I will take the welfare of the people as my number one priority”
The ADP governorship candidate who lamented over what he called untold hardship brought to the people of the country by the All Progressive Congress-led government, the development which he said has sent several people of the country to their early graves.
He assured the people of several lives changing programmes, if elected, noted that the only way out of the hardship currently ravaging the country and Ondo State in particular is to vote for the candidate of the ADP during the conduct of the election.
Akinnodi maintained that “Our duty and commitment are to consolidate on how to deliver effective leadership to the people of Ondo State and all who live in it, to sustain and take the sunshine state to a new heights”
Akinnodi similarly assured all the community leaders that his government, if voted into power he would elevate them and promote their status, he equally, promised to prioritize the state interest and run an effective, accountable and participatory administration.
“Priortize the welfare of citizens through responsive, caring and inclusive governance keep the government in the right side, blocking resources leakages with unnecessary spending and ensure value for money spent on the delivery of projects and services” he stated.
He promised all the community leaders that his administration will provide interactive feedback mechanisms for all citizens to relate with the government directly and as well mobilize people and resources to advance the collective security progress and wellbeing of the people.
Responding on behalf of the community leaders, Oloja Julious Adegoroye, who is also the Oloja of Odowo, Ondo West local government area, thanked the governorship candidate for the visit.
The community thanked him for coming out to contest for the governorship poll at the appropriate time to rescue the people of the state from the hands of those he called political emperor.
The traditional rulers in their unanimous decisions declared their supports for the ADP governorship candidate, later prayed for his success and wished him well during the conduct of the exercise.
