A Pan-Yoruba socio-cultural group, the Defense for Yoruba People’s Right (DYPR) has declared its intention to support the candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Otunba Bamidele Akingboye, during the November governorship election in Ondo State.
The group equally pitched its tent with the SDP governorship candidate, explained that its members numbering about six thousand, spread across all the eighteen local government areas of Ondo State will work and ensure the success of the SDP governorship candidate during the conduct of the exercise.
The Yoruba group spoke in Owo, headquarters of Owo local government om Monday during it’s monthly congress held in the ancient community.
The DYPR in a statement signed by its National President and Secretary, Otunba Muyideen Olamoyegun Comrade Bolawa Akindolire, respectively, said the group purposely conveined the meeting apparently to declared its intention to support he SDP governorship candidate during the election.
Describing Otunba Akingboye as the most distinguished candidate among all other contestants, with visionary leadership style known for his profound wisdom and compassion.
They explained that Otunba Akingboye, apart from been dedicated his efforts to uplifting individuals and communities, he has in several years transforming challenges into opportunities for the progress of every individuals within his environment.
The Yoruba group while declaring its total supports for the Igodan-Lisa-borned politician, equally vowed to work and ensure his victory during the forthcoming governorship election in Ondo State.
The group, going through the profile of the SDP governorship candidate, explained that apart from the 40 years experience in the private sector, Otunba Akingboye’s entrepreneurial ventures, particularly as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Benshore Maritime Services, has significantly impacted Nigeria’s economic landscape. His innovative solutions in dredging, maritime services, and pollution control drive sustainable growth and development in all areas of life.

The Yoruba group however urged all residents of Ondo State to support and vote for the SDP candidate during the conduct of the exercise, noted that if voted in as governor of Ondo State lives of every individuals in the state would change.
