In preparation for the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Ondo State, the African Democratic Party (ADP) has fixes date for the screening of candidates that will fly the flag of the party during the conduct of the exercise.
The party also fixed 25th of April, 2024, for the conduct of its primary and disclosed that all aspirants that would contest in the party would undergo screening exercise a day before the conduct of the primary.
The National Vice Chairman of the party, South/West, Prince Adesiyan Adisida made the disclosure in Akure the Ondo State capital at the weekend, during an official declaration of interest of Mr Ayodeji Akinnodi, to contest for the governorship position in the party.
The ADP Vice Chair explained that arrangements has been concluded by the national executive body of the party to organize a thorough screening exercise for all the aspirants that will be jostles for the ticket of the party.
He noted that the conduct of the exercise which will involve all the 203 political ward executive officer of the party and would be witness by the national executive council of the party will hold at the party secretariat in Akurẹ, the capital of Ondo State.
Prince Adesida who expressed optimism that any candidate who emerges winner from the primary of the party, would also emerge victorious during the November gubernatorial election in the State.
He urged members of the party to embark on what he called aggressive sensitization on the need to propagate the chances of the party during the forthcoming gubernatorial exercise in the State.
Similarly, the State Chairman of the party, Mr Oladejo Oluwagbenga, an Evangelist, urged members of the party to remain steadfast to the development and progress of the party, noted that the party would emerge victorious during the November gubernatorial election exercise.
He disclosed that the party have since begin its campaign and mobilisation across the 18 local government areas across in the State on the need to believe in the policy of the party.
