The Action Democratic Congress (ADP) Ondo State chapter has picked Honourable Emmanuel Ayodeji Akinnodi as the flag bearer of the party for the November 2024 gubernatorial candidate of the party.
Akinnodi, a Politician, Philanthropist per excellent and a business man emerged as the flag bearer of the ADP at an elaborate event held in Akure, the Ondo State capital, witnessed by members and national leaders of the party.
The emergence of Akinnodi was made through a consensus after due consultations and roundtable discussion by members and national leaders of the party from Abuja and the southwest zone.
Speaking after the event, the State Chairman of the party, Oluwafemi Oladejo, described the emergence of Akinnodi as another milestone and landmark event in the history of the party.
He emphasized that significance of the event in the party’s history is in accordance and compliance with the electoral law
Oladejo asserted the integrity of the ADP, describing it as unadulterated, unpolluted and sacred among all political parties, which has positioned it as a credible alternative for good governance.
He expressed optimism that the ADP would come out victorious during the forthcoming governorship election, noted that the candidate would do everything to expand the tentacle of the party by receiving more new members to the fold of the party.
The Ondo State ADP Chairman, urged the people of the state not to be deceived by some political parties who does not has good manifesto that would change the fortune of the state.
In his acceptance speech, Akinnodi, expressed appreciation to leaders and members of the party over what he described as the success of the programme.
The highly elated gubernatorial candidate particularly mentioned the ADP National Chairman, Alh. Sani, the Ondo State Chairman, Electoral Committee as well as members and Stewarts of the party for their unwavering supports which according to him made it possible for him to emerged as the flag bearer of the party.
He promised to fight and win the November 2024 gubernatorial election, urged members of the party to join hands with other residents of the state by rescue the state from the hands of those he described as mediocrities.
The highpoint of the event held amidst encomium was the nomination of Akinnodi as the gubernatorial candidate of the party amidst encomium and shares among party members and leadership of the party.
