As unknown man found dead in Ureje, Ado Ekiti
In the wake of a devastating incident in Ureje River Ado Ekiti, where a man suspected to be a commercial motorcyclist operator who lost his life to flooding, the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources has swiftly responded with a message of caution during the raining season.
Reacting to the tragic news, Erelu Tosin Aluko-Ajisafe, the Commissioner for the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life and extended heartfelt condolences to the victim’s family and loved ones.
According to the Commissioner, “this is a heartbreaking tragedy, and our thoughts are with the family of the deceased during this difficult time, we are deeply saddened by the loss of life due to the flooding in Ureje.
“Such incidents remind us of the importance of prioritizing safety and taking precautions during adverse weather conditions.”
The Commissioner emphasized the need for residents to remain vigilant and exercise caution, especially during periods of heavy rainfall. She urged the community to avoid unnecessary risks and to heed safety warnings issued by authorities.
“The safety and well-being of our residents are of utmost importance,” she continued. “We urge everyone to stay informed, stay safe, and take necessary precautions to protect themselves and their families.”
