The premises of the University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo was on Thursday thrown into mourning, following the death of the Registrar of the institution, Mr Ezekiel Imoleayo Adeniran.
According to a press statement released by the University Public Relation Officer, Isaac Oluyi, said the late Registrar died in his house in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
The devastating news has thrown the University into mourning, as it was shocking, he was said to have be in the office on Monday hale and healthy attending administrative matters.
Though, the cause of the death of the late Registrar is still sketchy as at the time of filling this report, the whole University community was deserted, while few staff who were at the duty posts were seen standing in group discussing the development.
Mr Adeniran assumed office as the third substantive Registrar of UNIMED on the 6th January, 2025 and remained so until his sudden demise on Thursday.
