An Abuja-based Non-governmental Organisation (NGO), the Adeyosoye Feyisola Adeniyi Child Care Advocacy Foundation, (AFACCAF) has advocated for child education for an enabling environment.
The foundation in a statement signed by its digital secretary, Ayo Adetula, said the goals and aims of the foundation targeted towards offering advice and support to “out of school” children and young persons and enabling a safer environment for children.
Advocating against child abuse prevention and championing initiatives for child abuse prevention, sensitizing members of the public on the protection of every child.
The statement further explained that the foundation based in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory with a branch office in Ondo town aimed at spearheading public awareness campaigns, educating the people on the universal child rights and the need for their protection.
He equally explained that the foundation sensitises members of the public about what it called Child molestation and lead public awareness campaigns on child molestation, effectively educating the community on prevention and intervention strategies.
Other aims and objectives of the foundation mentioned are advocating against child trafficking through strategic advocacy initiatives and to further strengthen the fight against child trafficking by educating the grassroots on its prevention, self-defence and immediate response to the vice.
The foundation also specialised on educating people on the effect of child labour and educating individuals as well as members of the public on the impacts of labour, raising awareness, advocating for change and urging for better ethical labour practices.
It also organises seminar and workshops for parents and children on right on the right of every child by strategically orchestrate educational seminars and workshops aimed at enlightening parents and children on fundamental and universal human and child rights.
The foundation also specialises in providing scholarships for the vulnerable kids through donations and other legal measures, as well secure educational opportunities to underprivileged young persons in form of scholarships provisions.
It also organises awards to individuals working in support of child rights and encourage supports for child rights by recognizing individuals and groups with awards for their outstanding contributions to child rights advocacy.
