There was palpable tension in Odigbo town on Monday following the surden discovery of three headless bodies floating on a popular river located along Odigbo/Ore old road.
The three lifeless and headless bodies were discovered at the riverbanks at the early hour of the fateful day by residents of the town.
The cause of the unfortunate incident is still sketchy as at the time of filling this report.
It was reliably gathered from a source closed to the community said the victims were brutally killed and disposed during the night by yet to be identified persons.
A senior officer of the Amotekun Corps who identified his name as Mr Joseph Olamobisi, said the case was reported in their office by some group of youths in the community.
He speculated that the murderers may have taken place elsewhere, with the kidnappers choosing to abandon the bodies in the river, as no one has reported any missing persons in the area.
He urged residents of the community to remain vigilant and security conscious in light of the tragic event.
However, a police source who confirmed the incident, promised to give more details later
