A prominent rulling house in Okeigbo, “Kuole Ọlọjẹ” ruling house of Okeigbo, Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo local government area of Ondo State, has reaffirmed that it is the turn of their ruling house to produce the next king for the community.
The ruling house spoke on Monday in Okeigbo during a press conference organised by members of the family to inform the government and the people of the community on the vacant position of Oluoke stool.
Addressing the press conference, he secretary to “Kuole Ọlọjẹ” ruling house, Mr Kolawole Adelabu, said the family organised the press conference to register it’s displeasure over what it called shabby treatment melted on the ruling house by the Ondo State government.
The press conference attended by members of the family including leaders, women group, Chiefs,  young girls and youths in the family reaffirmed that it is the turn of the rulling house to present the next king for the community.
Lamenting  over the development, he faulted  the approval granted to Akintoye Adeoye from ‘Aare Kugbaigbe ruling houses, the secretary to the Kuole Ọlọjẹ ruling house said the last occupant of the position the late Oba Lawrence Babajide is from the same Aare Kugbaigbe ruling house.
The ruling house vowed to challenge what it called politically manipulated in the Oluoke stool to favoured a particular candidate who claimed to have closed to the government from Aare Kugbaigbe ruling house, the agreived  Kuole Oloje ruling house threatened that arrangement has been concluded to challenge the process to go to court and challenge the process.
“The action of the government is unacceptable and by extension a fraud on our royal family, it is our turn to produce a candidate to fill the vacant stool of Oluoke. This is not negotiable, it is our turn to ascend the throne of our forefathers if equitable justice is to serve “
While disasociating the ruling house from any litigations currently in the court, the Secretary insist that the family will not allow the government, group or any individuals to impose any candidate on the people of the community.
He described members of the Kuole Ọlọjẹ ruling house as law abiding citizena who always respect the government and will not do anything that will trauncate  the peace of the community,
“We observed with disgust how some individuals and groups have been using the name of our ruling house to institute legal actions in the law courts in respect of the vacant stool. we disowned them. they ate not members of our family”
The ruling house however appealed to Ondo State government to intervene I the obaship tussle in order to justify equity and  justice which his government stands for.
The press conference held at the house of the royal family in the ancient community was attended by  Alhaji Tijani Adedayo, Chief Akintoye Oyebade, Mr Akinwale Akintoye, Chief Lateef Adefayi, Hon Lere Adeodu, Mr Kolawole Adelabu, Chief Deji Olutade who is the Ọlọjẹ of Kuole ruling house.
