The Ondo Development Forum (ODF) have expressed its heartfelt appreciation to the lawmaker representing Ondo East/West Federal Constituency at National Assembly, Honorable Abiola Makinde, describing him as a dedicated representative.
The forum equally described the ranking house member as a good politician whose selfless services and numerous achievements have positively impacted on the lives of members of his constituency, his community and Nigeria at large.
The forum noted that Honourable Makinde’s educational interventions, sponsorship of youths for international studies, and constituency projects have improved lives and infrastructure across the Federal Constituency, adding that training and empowerment programmes initiated by the lawmaker have equipped youths with valuable skills, while his sponsorship of bills, including that of Adeyemi Federal University of Education bill os another demonstration of his commitment to progress in the constituency.
According to the ODF ”Regrettably, some individuals within his political party, driven by ambition and a desire for power, seek to undermine Honorable Makinde’s efforts. Some unpatriotic politicians in Ondo kingdom have chosen to prioritize their interests over the well-being of our community.
“We admonish these individuals to reconsider their actions and support Honourable Makinde’s good works. Their negative endeavors only hinder progress and create division. We urge them to prioritize the greater good and collaborate with Honorable Makinde to achieve more for our community.
“We, the Ondo Development Forum, stand in support of Honourable Abiola Makinde and his endeavours. We encourage him to continue his excellent work, while we pledge our support as he continues to represent us at the National Assembly and wish him well on his future political ambition.
“As the National Assembly embark on a recess till September 2024, we hope that you would have enough rest and thus, would be able to brainstorm on strategies to further improve the standard of living of your constituents ahead of the resumption of your legislative duties in September. While we appreciate your services to Ondo Kingdom, we also want you to use the period of recess with your immediate family because family life matters.
