A middle-aged man, whose identity is yet to be ascertained, reportedly slumped while attempting to cross the road to enter a pharmacy at Ogbonmo area of Owo, Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The incident, which occurred on Thursday morning, drew the attention of passers-by who gathered at the scene and recorded videos in a bid to help identify the victim and locate his family.
In a viral video shared on Facebook showed that the deceased was trying to cross the main road in the community to a pharmacy shop located in Ogbonmo area of the town to purchase drug.
Similarly, a drug prescription from a notable government hospital was discovered in his pocket at the scene.
The incident has since generated controversy among residents of the ancient community as the identity of the victim is yet to be identified.
A narrator in the seven-minute, 53-second video said, “Today, Thursday, it is very unfortunate. This gentleman slumped here at Ogbonmo. I think he wanted to cross the road after buying some drugs that were given to him. In the course of going, he slumped and died, Nobody has been able to identify him.
“Nobody has been able to unlock it. Nobody has been able to identify him. Our prayer is not to die young.”
