A former former Special Assistant to Dr Kayode Fayemi on Political Affairs  (Northern Senatorial District) of Ekiti State, Prince Kayode Olowookere, has issued a strong warning to members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Oye local government area of the state to avoid participating in what he called any unplanned and unapproved endorsement of Governor Biodun Oyebanji second term bid.
The APC Chieftain who in strong time condemned several groups and associations within the state for endorssing  the governor for second term, cautioned APC members in the area against such action, emphasized that such actions should have the blessings of party leaders, elders and major stakeholders in the local government.

He explained  APC members in Oye local government are well-organized and   coordinated party  members, noted that the endorsement of any aspirants to any position should not be decided without proper consultation with relevant and major stakeholders.
He stressed that former Governor, Kayode Fayemi and other key figures within the local government and beyond saying that every stakeholders must be fully involved and informed, noted that Fayemi remains the number one leader in APC within Oye Local Government and beyond.
Olowookere acknowledged that individuals or groups may have differences, but emphasized the importance of proper consultation for any serious political decision or agreement to ensure the future benefits of all in the Local Government.
He urged that any group or individual planning an endorsement plan without involving these leaders, elders, and major stakeholders, especially the former governor, are acting in their personal interest.
Olowookere argued that the main reason for any endorsement at this time must be clear to everyone, and it should not be done merely because similar activities are happening elsewhere.
He concluded by saying that anyone intending to run for any political position should adhere to the established norms and values, unless they do not want to recognize the party leadership in the local government or wish to challenge Dr. Kayode Fayemi’s leadership in Oye Local Government.
