Tragedy struck on Wednesday night in Agamo community, Akure North local government area of Ondo State, following the death Oba Kehinde Falodun, the Alagama of Agamo community, who was hacked to death by yet to be identified gunmen.
It was reliably gathered that from the family source that the bandits numbering about ten (10) stormed the palace of the monarch on Wednesday evening with a plan to kidnap him , but the attempted abduction was repelled by him.
It was further gathered that the gunmen shot the monarch several times but the gunshots failed to penetrate his body and they later used another weapon to hit Oba Falodun on the head which led to his death.
The monarch’s Wife who also confirmed that the assilants were speaking Hausa, came through Itaogbolu axis in a neighbouring community at late hour of Wednesday to kidnap the monarch.
As at the time of filling this report, security operatives in the area has begun investigating on the death of the monarch by combing the bushes and forest around the area to apprehend the bandits.
