Indigenes of Ondo town, Maryland, United State of America, has dissociated itself from the purported social media campaigns against the member of the National Assembly representing Ondo East/West federal constituency, Honourable Abiola Makinde.
The group under the aegis of Ekimogun Association DMV, Maryland, United State of America, in a statement released from the United State of America and signed by Mr Tony Iluyomade, Rotimi Akinkugbe and Tommy Akinbinu, President, Vice-president and the Public Relations Officer respectively, described Ekimogun Roundtable as a group of unscrupulous and nonentity persons of evil doers.
The Ekimogun Association, Maryland equally aligned itself to what it called various developmental projects embarked upon by Honourable Biola Makinde across Ondo East/West federal constituency which according to them have direct impacts in the lives of the constituents
The statement read in parts “We have been made aware of a social media campaigns of calumny, defamatory statements, slander by unscrupulous and nonentity persons and group of evil doers against Hon. Abiola Makinde.
“This individual has been using the DMV Ekimogun Association logo without our permission or endorsement for impersonation. We do not have a name called “Omotayo Akinkugbe ” in our association what so ever.
“We hereby dissociate ourselves from this person’s actions and statements. He does not represent the Ekimogun Association DMV, Maryland, USA or its values. His views are his own and should be disregarded.
“Please be aware that this individual is acting alone and does not have any affiliation with our Association. We urged you all at home to disregard his malicious posts and not engage with him.
“We the Ekimogun Association DMV, Maryland appreciate and stood by Hon. Abiola Makinde, for his unrelenting efforts, development and services to the people of Ondo kingdom.
“He is our own and one of us, we are strongly behind him and we will continue to support him and as well sensure his success politically. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation” the statement stated added.
