Ahead of the 2027 general elections, members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Ondo west local government chapter has rallied behind the senatorial ambition of the member currently representing Ondo East and West federal constituency at the National Assembly, Hon Dr Abiola Makinde.
The people unanimously declared their unflinching supports for the lawmaker for his next political move, sitting various monumental achievements embarked upon by the ranking lawmaker in the last few years.
The people in a statement signed by its media team, explained that their decisions was informed by what they called unity of purpose and fervent declarations, became a political symphony of endorsement for a man many described as “a flare of purposeful leadership.”
The people made the declaration during a stakeholders, present at the meeting were elected officers, party Stewarts, as well as appointment officers all unanimously endorsed the lawmaker for the senatorial ambition in 2027.
Several speakers who spoke during the meeting vowed to work for the realization of the senatorial ambition of the lawmaker and ensure his success during the 2027 general elections.
They described Hon. Makinde as a political craftsman whose tenure in the House of Representatives has been a mosaic of impact. They pointed out infrastructural footprints to youth empowerment, legislative depth, and visible transformation of his federal constituency.
“Dr.Makinde is not just a politician,” one party elder declared, “he is a vessel of renewal, a steady compass in stormy waters, and a voice the voiceless now recognize.”
” His ability to connect across generations and demographics, they noted, has made him a unifying force within and beyond party lines.
“The leaders likened his capacity to a river that never runs dry—constantly refreshing his people with projects, policies, and presence. With six local governments making up Ondo Central, they said, only a leader with tested strength, political maturity, and far-reaching influence can sail the ship of representation, and Makinde fits that mold like a key to its lock.
“Declarations of loyalty flowed like a stream of conviction, as political blocks, youth representatives, and party women groups openly pledged to stand behind him”
The stakeholders vowed to take the gospel of Makinde’s senatorial bid from house to house, ward to ward, in what they described as “a mission to install dignity, voice, and vision in the Senate.”
They equally described as a bridge between the grassroots and the corridors of power, Hon. Makinde was praised for his humility, accessibility, and unwavering loyalty to the APC.
“He does not just talk politics, he lives the needs of his people,” another leader affirmed, drawing applause from the audience.
“With this roaring wave of endorsement from Ondo West, Hon. Abiola Makinde’s senatorial bid now rises like a phoenix, poised to soar over the political skyline of Ondo Central”
